Kham is de enige die overgebleven is van een familie van bewakers. Ooit bewaakten ze de oorlogsolifanten van de koning van Thailand. Alleen de meest perfecte olifanten konden de troon verdedigen en er werd veel aandacht in hun opvoeding gestoken. Na de schrijnende zoektocht van Kham om een gestolen olifant terug te krijgen, vertrekt hij naar zijn dorp om in vrede te leven. Maar voor iemand die zo goed in krijgskunsten is als hij, is vrede enkel een hoopvolle gedachte. Het duurt dan ook niet lang voordat hij zijn vaardigheden weer moet gebruiken.
